Randy Pausch Last Lecture: Achieving Your Childhood Dreams

Have to thank peizhen for recommending me to watch this. Thanks babe

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ji5_MqicxSo

Randy Paush actually shared the same birthday as me. Makes my insides glow with pride.
Some interesting learnings from him (i'm not done):
- If people stop critisicing you, it just means they have given up. And that's not a good place to be
- Experience is what we get when we didn't get what we want
- Brickwalls are there to stop you from getting things: It is there to prove how badly you want something
- Never forget to have fun
- Never lose the child-like wonder
- Never give up
- Get a feedback loop and listen to it
- Show gratitude
- Don't complain, just work harder! (really?)
- Find the best in everybody

To end of my post, What is a great man? What makes a man great? A man who has earned big money? A man with power? A man with great love and knows how to appreciate it? A man who teaches, inspires? Or a man who has left a footprint in this journey called life?

Last but not least, what do i want and what do you want out of this journey? i think that defines my path and yours too... definitely worth a thought.

Randy, with my 35 mins understanding of him seems like someone whose attitude in life in turns bring out the best in people. And this quality is indeed worth respect. attitude is one thing, being able to share this and bringing out in others is another level altogether. His IQ and ability to communicate (EQ) is him at his best too. i salute.

The world had a privilige of having you.
